Schooling and Higher Education

1979 – 1986

My academic journey began in Kapurthala, where I completed my 10th in 1979 from A.G. Nursery and MD S.D. School. I went on to pursue a B.Sc. degree at Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia College, graduating in 1983. With a growing interest in both teaching and leadership, I completed my B.Ed. in 1984, followed by an MBA in Marketing and Administration from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, in 1986.

Procurement & Vendor Management

Started professional journey at ICL as a Purchase Office Trainee. Responsibilities included maintaining procurement records, preparing purchase orders, negotiating with vendors, developing equipment specifications, resolving vendor disputes, and coordinating purchasing activities.

Managed regional operations including analyzing sales data, leading marketing efforts, achieving targets, maintaining client relationships, and training the sales team.

Led the national sales function with responsibilities ranging from team management and business planning to customer engagement, revenue forecasting, and market analysis.

Telecom Solutions Provider

Surya Telecom was founded with a vision to serve law enforcement and infrastructure sectors. Initial focus was on wireless communications including HF, VHF, and UHF systems, expanding to public safety and surveillance technologies.
